Right now, streaming TV is the norm and standard of watching TV shows. Streaming TV got popular in 2013 but I think in 2015-2016 is when streaming started to become a TV industry standard.

You.. kind of answered the question. I'm convinced at it kicking off in 2013, right after Toonami made it's comeback because it was one of the last major TV campaigns.

Somewhere around 2014 or 2015. Prior, Cable TV and Satellite TV was the main platforms to watch your favorite tv shows and movies.

I would say 2015 was the year streaming really started to take off, but it probably wasn't until about 2017 that the fate of cable-TV had been sealed.

2015 when “Netflix and Chill” first became a thing 100% agree. Streaming services are major components of the core 2010s, and I kept hearing more about Netflix and Hulu in '15 as pay-TV subscribers declined and cord-cutters increased.
