In 2040, I think 2019 and 2020 will be looked at as how older people view 2000 and 2001. The year where everything was still "simple and innocent", followed by the year where everything changed.
I wouldn't be surprised. As we're now in the post-9/11 era, we're also gonna be in the post-COVID era.
