When I watched a TV commerical for the medicine Rybelsus recently and heard the cover of the song You Are My Only Sunshine (I tried to type the full title of the song in the subject line for my thread but the box that I type the subject of my thread in kept shortening the text of the subject I chose.) that was being used in it, I said to myself that the sound for that cover sounded familiar. When I searched that commerical up on Google, I found out that the version of You Are My Only Sunshine that was used in that Rybelsus commerical is a Pop-Punk version of it. Here is a link to the commerical in case you have not seen it: Right now, you are saying to me "Why is this important, VHS?". The reason why this is important is because usually when a music genre gets popular during a decade, songs that are a part of it are used in TV commercials for products. One example of that is how Indie Rock music was used in the Humira "Body Of Proof" TV commerical (This commerical: www.ispot.tv/ad/dEdZ/humira-body-of-proof ; I couldn't find a version of it that is on YouTube.) that was made in the 2010s. By the way, if you are wondering what year the Humira "Body Of Proof" TV commerical was made in, the Humira "Body Of Proof" TV commerical was made in 2016. As we all know, Indie Rock was a music genre that was popular during the 2010s. Another example is how Nu-Metal music was used in Kmart commercials during the 2000s. Nu-Metal is a music genre that was popular during the 2000s.
