For me, it was around 2016-17 when the early 2010s started to feel dated.

For me, 2014 was a completely different feel from the early 2010s. Like there was no trace of the decade being connected. The early 2010s felt like the 2000s in 2014.

I wouldn't say the early 2010s felt the same distance away as the 2000s in 2014 but I def agree 2014 is def when the early 2010s felt a long time ago esp 2010 and 2011

Nah, the early 2010s didn't feel so far away in 2014.

Despite September 18, 2013-June 15, 2015 being mid 2010s culturally, the early 2010s felt like it was yesterday. However, the early 2010s began to distance itself starting on June 16, 2015 when Trump announced his presidential run. By January 20, 2017 when Trump got inaugurated, the early 2010s felt far away.

Not feeling far away, but it definitely like that era was truly over and gone by 2015. In fact I recall many people on the internet around 2015-2016 claiming that 2009-2012 was apparently the last good era for pop or something like that.

Nah, the early 2010s didn't feel so far away in 2014. Yeah I agree. The mid 2010s changes at the time just felt like beefed up versions of 2011 culture minus the minuscule 00s influences until late 14/15. The changes didn’t feel like a foreign era at the time until 2015-2016 . People are making it seem early 2010s was a separate universe when it was mostly the same.

First noticed this like late 2015/early 2016 but the nostalgia and distant feeling didn't truly sink in until 2018.

March 2020.
They felt a little distant after around 2013-14, but it didn't feel like a different world. Then 2020 happened.

To me it felt like the early 2010s became distant around 2016/2017, but it didn't feel "far away" as in totally removed until 2020.
