I would say this song sounds like a transition from late 00s to early 10s. His next single "DJ" sounds very early 2010s.

Nah, this song sounds extremely early 2010’s. It doesn’t sound 2000’s in the slightest.

I've always thought of it as sounding "proto-2010s". It would sound of place if it had been released during the late 2000s (except for maybe late 2009), but it doesn't really sound like the electropop songs that were popular around that same era. If an analogy had to be made,"OMG" is to the 2010s as what Blondie's "Heart of Glass" is for the '80s. I think it's more early 2010s though to answer the question.

It sounds like an early 2010s song that was produced in the late 2000s. Definitely a very early 2010s song but it does have ties to the late 00s

Early 10s but just barely. It fits perfectly in late 09 - 2010 time period. It wouldn't fit in so well from the second half of 2011 to 2014 or 2007-second half of 09.
