I kind of touched upon this in my other Mid 2020s thread, but you are going to start seeing more people "come out" about this. It is going to be de-stigmatized. ..which is a good thing. The media in general has portrayed people on the spectrum in a inaccurate light. There are tons of ASD groups being put together in the LA area. I can promise you this is going to be a bigger thing in the coming years. SO this isn't just about High functioning but you are going to see a heavy emphasis on it.
Def check out Runaway Germ on youtube, she has inciteful videos.
Also Paige Layle, check her out as well !

I'm happy about this as well. We have seen occasional references to it in the past, but I really do think this will be a good thing for society moving forward. Question: do you have autism? I understand if you don't want to reveal it, but still.

as for movies and tv shows, the Netflix show Atypical is cool and for movies Please Stand by is the better of the bunch.

I had borderline autism in the early 2000s. That doesn't even make any sense. Autism isn't something you can just have for a few years and then get over; people who are on the spectrum are born with it and have it for life. How can you have 'borderline' autism anyway? It's something that people either have, or don't have. You can't be in-between.

It shouldn't be de-stigmatized, but it's not something that should be glorified either. People shouldn't be taking autism lightly. They shouldn't be self-diagnosing themselves based on a few YouTube videos. That is something that should only be diagnosed by a professional.
