There was also a TERRIBLE one called "Buss It" which sampled Hot in Here by Nelly. I'm all for 2000s nostalgia, but that shit gave me a headache.

Yawn.
I don't mind the occasional nostalgia hit. It's always been a thing in hip-hop as even some 90s classics sampled earlier R&B. However, these days it's so overdone the trend has jumped the shark.
Wake me up when creativity makes a comeback over quick nostalgia cash grabs.

Of course “artists” would try to revive the abysmal lows of the 2000s, ringtone snap crap of 2005-2008. Nowadays it seems that creativity is at a standstill. Like I said, it's always been a thing in hip-hop to sample classic songs but right now the trend is way overdone. The new Tory Lanez song samples Make Tha Trap Say Aye by OJ Da Juiceman (2009).

Eh, the song's generic and forgettable (just like himself, lol). His brief revival period was with "Taste" back in 2018, which I loathed.
