I miss the early 10s so much, it seemed like the progressive wave was never going to stop... I guess it was an illusion People simply underestimated how angry fundamentalist Christians would be over the legalization of same-sex marriage. They literally lost their minds over it. To them, America died on June 26, 2015, which is a factor in why insurrection is now on the table. It's why if Trump destroys the country they don't care because they believe God will destroy this country anyways. I grew up in a church where the pastor would preach that we would have a civil war if same-sex marriage was ever legalized. The very early 2010s were the best time of my life and the way things are looking now, that will probably always be the case.

You are right but i wouldn't call bchris02 an idiot There was a conservative wave in my country, although it was a combo of right-wing backlash against progressive leftist ideas (like in the us) and a general backlash against the workers party because they were blamed for the 2014-2016 economic crisis (unlike the us) There was also the 80s Nostalgia factor...
