Popedia, in my opinion, is in need of a much needed shakeup. What topics would you like to see more of? Are there any sub-forums you would like to see replaced or created on the forum? Please don't hold back, any feedback is appreciated. What would you like to see changed?

You know how there will be threads such as “Is [year] culturally more like [year] or [year]? I wanna start seeing more topics applying the same concept to countries. e.g ”Is the U.S culturally closer to the UK or Australia?”

We could post topics like that in the Travel & Tourism sub-forum.

On another note, do we really need a separate Polls sub-forum? You can create polls basically anywhere on the site, and there's a subtopic for basically anything you can think of, including random off-topic stuff. For the Decade Den forum, I was thinking of adding a subforum related to decade transitional periods, such as the electropop era, Y2K era, etc. Whenever I post Y2K-related stuff, which is often, I always do so in the Decade Den general forum, since there's plenty of stuff from both the 90s and 2000s involved. A subforum about Decade Analysis and Comparison would also be nice.

The music-related polls in the "Polls" sub-board, for instance, could just be moved over to the existing "Music" sub-board. Most of the other polls could be moved into the "Popedia Lounge" since it's meant for off-topic discussions anyway. The only problem I see with doing that would be that it might encourage decadeology topics. Also, it might make things too confusing. If someone wanted to make a topic about the year 2010, for example, where would they post it? In the "2010s" sub-board or the "decade transitions" one? Where do you draw the line between what is the "electropop era" and what is "early 2010s"? They're both pretty much the same thing. Tbh, I think the Decade Den should stay as it is. Any topics which relate to two or more decades should just be posted in the general Decade Den sub-forum, like what you have been doing.

If they wanted to make a post about 2010, they'd obviously post it in the 2010s forum I do get what you mean though. What I'm referring to is that it would be a subforum to post topics related to things that span two decades instead of just one. Again, Y2K and electropop related stuff would work here. My other opinion is that any topic that explicitly compares two or more decades should be posted in the general Decade Den forum. IMO, TequillaBay's topics comparing the 2010s to different decades would fit better in that forum, since it's not about just one decade. I have to actually go into different decade subforums to look for those topics, even though they all involve the 2010s explicitly.

One last thing, although this has nothing to do with things changing... I kinda wish the other subforums here were more active. I'll admit, I'm guilty of this myself, but most people generally spend their time in the Decade Den and Pop Culture subforums instead of the other subforums which I find more neglected. Just look at the Travel and Tourism board or Games and Trivia boards for good examples. Even after making a bunch of posts on the former board, it still remains highly inactive and negcleted. I know this is a small forum, and TBH I'm kinda happy it's not filled with morons and trolls like so many other forums, but still.
