2002 in Video Games - The effervescent Pop
One of my personal favorite gaming year for video games. The year where most of the world had switched to 6th
generation at the fastest pace. Every release in 2002 was magical. The only bad thing I can say is Blockbuster video

Great year for Video Games. I do miss when not every video game has to had the best or the most realistic graphics. Video Games in 2002 looks like a lot of fun.

Major stands out of that year are when Sonic Advance dropped ( after years of Nintendo vs Sega in the 90s to see Sonic on a NINTENDO system was surreal) Vice City ( no explanation needed lol , Put tons of Gen Y'rs like me on 80s music and became a pop cultural icon in entertainment)

The GC version of SA2 was def better than the Dreamcast SA2, fixed a ton of glitches

Omg I love 2002, my favorite 2000s year. 2002 is a year that did not take itself seriously and these video games show it. They look fun, extreme, diverse, adventurous, balanced and well-rounded. it was a blast, tons of fun. Vice City is the highlight of this year. My favorite GTA tbh

Super Mario Sunshine all day. I'd also throw in Super Smash Bros. Melee. Melee peaked in 02. That's yet another reason why 2002 was peak early 00s. Smash Melee, SpongeBob quotes, and Yu-Gi-Oh were the cornerstones of the era. Oh, and JSRF is one of the most early 00s games ever. It's so good dude.
