Seriously what the fuck is wrong with these mods constantly locking threads over “decadeology.” I call bullshit! There was nothing wrong with my thread and John Titor’s thread. This whole site is based off of decadeology. This site is starting to get boring fast with topics constantly being locked for dumb ass reasons. I can already sense Popedia dying. Fucking pathetic! I swear the hypocrisy is real. So this website will allow SharksFan99 “Is 2009 more culturally late 2000s or early 2010s?” thread and not mine or John Titor’s.

Unpopular Opinion, I actually like to discussed on what makes a certain year, specific era of the 1st half of the decade different from the 2nd half of the decade. I don't mind it though.

I suppose decadeology threads aren't welcome because they're seen as too repetitive and borderline obsessive

Worse yet, SharksFan99, the forum’s founder, and one of the best members on here, has sadly announced he won’t be posting anymore.

SharksFan leaving probably has to do with it. I don’t even know who is the admin of this site, but I don’t want for it to become too restrictive and unaccepting of anything even remotely considered “decadeology” even when it isn’t.

Just understand that decadeology threads are annoying and hardly engaging. They're based on personal feelings and such extremely subjective observations that it can lead to really big needless disagreements. "2012 was an extremely different time because malls were much emptier compared to 2011 so it's undoubtedly the start of the mid-2010s". Discussing separate years is fine, but when you start to mix in rigid era divisions then its becomes a problem.

Decadeology can be really annoying tbh. It's nice to just enjoy the music and pop culture of a certain time without obsessing over whether it's "mid xxx0s or late xxx0s", which ends up turning it into some weird pseudo-science.
I've always hated the "xxx9 is part of the early xxy0s because of these random things" discussions.

Discussing separate years is fine, but when you start to mix in rigid era divisions then its becomes a problem. You are just making up what you want the term to be to feel special or above others like everyone else who uses the vague contradictory made up word stolen from inthe00s. This nothing wrong with logical or sensible comparison of two decades. How many times has the 80sness of 1990 or if the 1990 was more 80s than 90s been discussed? How would there ever be something wrong with that? Was that ever penalized? No! Any kind of justification of decadeology doesn't make sense. The concept is vague and contradictory. What you're saying doesn’t make any sense. You act like you own people's thoughts and opinions and what you are saying can be applied to 1000s of conversations on the forum including that of yours, rainbowz and Sharksfan99. Also nobody ever makes very ridiculous comparisons or just jumps to extreme illogical conclusions like you're saying you pathetic dumb ass. This is a mentally sick tactic to shame users from free expression and exert control in fear of something that really can’t happen ex forum turning into 90 percent weird or illogical decade comparisons. It's free harmless speech between 1 or more people willing to have a conversation together and if someone doesn’t like it, they don’t have to post. Nobodies right to judge or interfere with however one sees things if they are so obsessed with controlling other people's thoughts, then they can create a separate section instead of bullying or disrespecting users once a while with a hypocritical vague idea they stole from inthe00s. Virtually no other nostalgia forum uses this made up word and infact inthe00s stopped enforcing it for a while last year even if they sometimes do now. Virtually all of you mods here have mental problems and use decadeology to boost your egos when you want, or any other weird random reason, so you won’t care for ages, then you will out of nowhere.

I'm not gonna answer to this angst-bait text since it's not worth my time. But you seriously need to take a break from this forum. I'm not trying to chase away, this is coming more from a place of worry but you're absolutely not in a right mind frame to continue to post. And I seriously mean that.
