None of the top songs of September 2016 would be hits in September 2021, that's how much music has changed in 6 years.
Some songs from 2017 could pass for 2021 hits but i have this feeling that "Believer" would be a pop-rock song in 2021, just because imagine dragons are trend-chasers

Wow is that 2018 list incredibly bad. I like that year but it had some of the worst lows of the 2010s, especially in its second half.
Don't care at all about the 2016, 2017 and 2020 ones. They're all very mediocre. 2021 has actually a pretty solid top 5! But out of all six, 2019 is probably my favorite one.

It's amazing how all of this is 10 years ago. Oddly enough, that Lil Wayne song is the least dated than the rest of the songs here.

They're all very mediocre. 2021 has actually a pretty solid top 5! But out of all six, 2019 is probably my favorite one. Yeah 2018 wasn’t a very good year for pop music IMO. It did have some amazing hip-hop though.
