I remember a year or two ago predicting that Lil Nas X will continue being popular in the 2020’s, and I think my prediction is starting to become true. Back in 2019, I remember people thinking he’d only be a one hit artist. But I think his song “Old Town Road” was influential enough for him to continue staying relevant. I definitely think he’s the next big rapper of the 2020’s. EDIT: It was on a thread called “Describe the year 2025.” This is what I said: *Lil Nas X will still be popular. In fact, he’ll be to 2025 what Drake was to 2015. I also predicted this: *Billie Eilish won’t be as popular during this time because music is starting to get more upbeat, while she’s still making slower-paced songs. Which seems to be happening right now. Pop songs are noticeably getting more upbeat again and Billie Eilish isn’t as popular as she was in 2019. She’ll probably fall off.

Lil nas x becoming the biggest pop star in the US by the year 2025 would be nice and ironic lol

I guess Lil Nas is here to stay after the success of his latest album. I potentially think he'll change the face of rap music by dismantling this whole "macho" persona that's still been prevalent in the genre so long.

On one hand, it bothers me that he clearly exploits his homosexuality as shock value. Rather than showing it as a proud facet of him, it's his entire personality now basically and all the attention shall be on it.
On the other hand, it's great that he could open the door to more LGBT representation in mainstream rap, which let's face it has been extremely macho straight men-dominated for decades now.
