Loved videogame TV channel G4 will be returning to the air on November 16th. This new version of G4 will be airing on cable (A.K.A linear tv) and online. I know I said this in the thread I made a months ago about how G4 was planning on making a comeback (The difference between this thread and that thread is that the thread I made a few months back didn't have an exact launch date in it. By the way, in case you forgot, I deleted the thread I made a few months back due to the fact that I later found out that someone already made a thread on this site about how G4 was planning on making a comeback. With that being said, this thread is basically an update about the new G4 making a comeback.) but this new version of G4 will not be the Cops & Cheaters-airing Spike TV clone the old version of it was in its later years. This new version of G4 will be about videogames.
The list of cable/linear TV providers that are slated to receive the new version of G4 so far are Verizon Fios, Cox and Xfinity. If you did not see your cable/linear TV provider on that list, then don't worry. According to the webpage the information about G4 returning to cable is on, additional distribution partnerships will be announced closer to G4's launch date (Matter of fact, G4 host Blair Herter said in an AMA that he hosted on the r/g4tv subreddit a few days ago that G4 is in talks with cable company Spectrum to try to reach a channel carriage deal with them.). By the way, if you are a huge fan of G4 and would like the new G4 to air reruns of episodes of videogame shows that the old G4 aired, then you are in luck. The new version of G4 will air reruns of episodes of videogame shows that the old G4 aired in addition to airing new G4 shows.

As a tech geek, I am thrilled to hear that G4 is making a comeback. I am huge fan of G4. During my childhood, my eyes were glued to G4 watching the latest and greatest tech reviews on X-Play at times when I was not playing outside. Also, I talked to a few G4 hosts on Twitter before the old G4 had shut down and they replied to me on there. With that being said, that's an awesome memory that I am never going to forget. Plus, the official G4 Twitter account followed my Twitter profile during that time. That's another thing I am happy about.
G4 being brought back during this pandemic is definitely what I needed during it. Matter of fact, when this pandemic first started in March of last year and the lockdowns started, I said to myself while I was quarantining in my home, "It would be nice if Comcast/NBC Universal brought back G4 so I could watch nothing but shows about videogames during this boring pandemic-induced lockdown." I am absolutely not kidding. While I was lying down in my bed while being infected with covid during the lockdown, I totally said that. I never for a single second thought during that lockdown that talks were going on inside of a boardroom about bringing back G4.
Btw, if any of you have AT&T U-verse as my television provider like I do, then I would like for you to do me a favor by calling AT&T U-verse for me and telling AT&T U-verse to add The new version of G4 to their channel lineup. Also, if any of your friends & family members has AT&T U-verse as their television provider, then tell to call AT&T U-verse and tell them to add the new version of G4 to their channel lineup.
I can't wait for November 16th to get here.
