Early. Not only in sound but also the fact that it was a sleeper hit, originally released in August 2011 before blowing up and getting a music video in 2013.

What about Thrift Shop Came out in August 2012, same time as the music video. IMO it sounds very 2012/2013, so early. Early 2010s music isn't entirely defined by Electropop sounds.

I'd say early 2010s. Nothing about it sounds mid 2010s.

Came out in August 2012, same time as the music video. IMO it sounds very 2012/2013, so early. Early 2010s music isn't entirely defined by Electropop sounds.Exactly, some of the biggest songs in the early 2010s weren't electropop songs. For example, Just The Way You Are, Rolling In The Deep, Somebody I Used To Know.
