Viral clips and popular Internet trends circa 1994 to 2006

List any online trend, popular website art fad, viral videos etc from 1994-1995 (early modern Internet) to around 2006-2007 (the last time pre-youtube and Web 1.0 sites were still popular)
Earliest stuff I remember
1994-1995: Smilyface clip art on websites and Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon game in 1994 (Was later mentioned on the news the same year, later turned into a board game in 1997 and got even more popular in the 2000s, fake virus pop up ads (a new thing), sound effects and midi tunes clips and doom and doom II wad/add on level downloads being a popular thing to tryout and download.
1996: Simpsons/bart gifs on tons of personal webpages and 3d holographic illusion websites and backgrounds (following the magic eye book trend)
1997: Dancing baby viral clip and more music sampling, I think winamp and mp3.com get set up at some point, you start to see more music sample options, still nowhere near 1999.
