I didn't include 09-10 and 19-20 since they weren't full 2010 school years.
If you can, elaborate please.
I found 15-16 to be the most transitional music wise, for memes and arguably politics(trump wasn't elected but his campaign was being taken seriously and political divisions were really heating up, the right wing was regaining its power. People thought he would be the next hitler. This was also the first full 8th gen gaming year i'd say whereas the previous school year 7th gen gaming was still "in" but 8th gen was the focus. Games stopped being made for the PS3 and 360 and most or all(can't remember) of my friends who were still gaming on PS3 stopped that year. You also had a lot of new youth culture like the dab and new youth lingo like "on fleek" and "bae" that people kept saying which you could also argue marked the start of Zoomers taking over. Pokemon Go at the end of this school year feels like the swan song to Millennial domination.

You forgot to put the 2017-2018 school year as an option (not that I was gonna vote for that though)
