they are lying, I have a 2009 macbook lying around and it can't function with anything I really wonder what is the lifespan of Apple products. I feel like I am playing a game of “How long can I make this device last?” I hate having to buy new technology every 3-4 years, even 5-6 years is pushing it for me. not long, I hate it as well, with apple products always buy new and the current iteration because every month that ticks by since it's release it depreciates even more and more. Apple does this to force you to buy new hardware, example, the new macbooks have no face unlock but the laptop can clearly do it, next macbooks that come out will feature face unlock lol. They do this as a way to pitch new features to get you to upgrade.

They do this as a way to pitch new features to get you to upgrade. I figured Apple does these things on purpose to make people buy new products. I’ve noticed that Apple offers barely a fraction for their old devices if you wanted to trade them in. I guess that’s how quickly their value drops, maybe quicker than the value of a new car once they’re driven off the lot. I think when the iPhone first came out in 2007, Apple waited a little longer to release the 2nd iPhone. Now every fall, around late September, Apple releases their new line of products. I wonder how well their business would go if they waited every 2-3 years to release their new devices. A lot of times I feel like iPhones and maybe other Apple products aren’t worth upgrading to because they’re so similar to the previous year’s release. Maybe that could by why materialism is at an all time high compared to the 2000s. I think the 2012 MacBooks were the last to have CD/DVD drives. I believe they were last supported in 2015. MacBook Pros before late 2016 had keyboards to adjust brightness, volume, etc. But ever since late 2016, touch bars with Touch ID have become standard on MacBook Pros. I assume iPads made that switch to Touch ID around that time. I think they were late to Touch ID because iPhones have had Touch ID since late 2013. iPhones got Face ID and went bezel-less in 2017. I wouldn’t be surprised if MacBooks went that route, but they’d be late again lol. They def do it on purpose and Steve Jobs RIP would often use words like " the ipad it's Magical" "this track pad is unworldy" " mega wide screen" " revolutionary lamp figure"
He would use words like that to trick your brain into thinking the machine really is amazing, he would also do sh*t like taking a macbook out of a envelope or taking a ipod nano out of his jeans to make it hit home more, all marketing tactics, Apple is the greatest marketing firm of all time LOL I don't like the design of the new macbooks they look fatter, I do like the ports are back, but aside from that meh lol
