In terms of music, technology, politics, COVID, etc.
Doesn't have to be perfect predictions, just for fun.

Logbook November the 2nd 2026 Dear diary, I can't believe that the coronavirus pandemic stopped being a pandemic just 3 years ago, it feels like such a distant memory now! People are so happy and positive nowadays compared to 2023, it's crazy how 6 years ago the economic was in the gutter but now it's booming! ✨I'm so glad that Donald Trump was run over by a car and died in 2024✨ it seems like politics have finally normalized again There are rumors that Michelle Obama will be running for office in 2028, i wonder how that will go! I remember when Mark Zuckerberg said he was thinking of running for office, haha, fat chance, No way we would ever elect such a controversial person! I can't believe that not long ago casual transphobia was so common, it must have been so hard for trans people to grow up in the 10s, it was such a bigoted and conservative decade... Not gonna lie, i didn't like these augmented reality glasses at first but I have finally gotten used to them, all my friends are throwing their wonky smartphones away and converting to the iglasses. The feeling of immersion i get from the AI-created realistic virtual worlds is priceless . The future has never looked more optimistic!

2026 will be better than 2021 and the early 2020s in general which is only if 10slover prediction comes true. It would be cool if Michelle Obama runs in 2028. 2026 may be a different world from now. I’ll be in my late 20s, turning 28 that year and out of university. I bet people will be posting how the early 2020s were still a part of the late 2010s culturally lol. Movies and TV may become more experimental than now. Genres might die out in media. Things may blur lines more. More genre fusion in music, games, movies and TV. Fashion will be more gender bending. Music will sound different, probably more rock. Timbaland and scene revival may be everywhere. Hopefully Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat dies and is replaced by something better. Tech will be futuristic. AI, driverless cars and virtual reality will start to make a dent. 2026 may be the transition into late 2020s culture. A big deal will be made that September about the late 2006 shift lol. A late 2026 shift may happen again lol. September 2026 is the start of the late 2020s. If anything 2026 will be peak 2020s. I’ll feel old as that will be a decade since I graduated high school. It’ll be 10 years since Trump got elected and the crazy year of 2016.

So much changed in pop culture since 2018 and even parts of 2019 in terms of music, celebrities, etc. Also yeah 2016 being a decade ago will feel crazy. It's already crazy that it was 5 years ago, even though it feels like it.

The early 2020s are pure hell beyond imagination, and this appears to be only the beginning. I can kind of imagine this is what the 1950s may have felt like if you weren't a middle class WASP. Or maybe the 1930s, since the '50s had a decent economy.

I don't think 5 years is enough for things to completely reinvent themselves, but if I had to guess. Fashion would be an extreme version of what we know now as popular: baggier pants, streakier hair with more fantasy colors and frizz, as well as chunkier sneakers, kind of like a futuristic version of 2000s fashion. "Millenial fashion" would be long dead by then and considered extremely tacky.
Tik Tok would be at its peak of popularity and influence but starting its decline phase since it would seem passé from newer teenagers. A bit like how Facebook was starting to decline with the youth in 2016. As for music, it's hard to tell at this point since a shift can occur at any point. Kind of like how improbable it would have been to predict 2016 music in 2011. Maybe pop would include more and more rock guitars back in to the point of oversaturation, as well as distorted/pitch shifted vocals akin to hyperpop. But who really knows.

Is TikTok really become passe like Facebook? I think it's more like Youtube, YouTube has never become "passe" This is a hypothetical post about 2026. Why are you quoting in a present tense? Also YouTube is a broad and general entertainment centre. Unlike Facebook and Tik Tok which are social media sites with far more specific formats.
