2008 is now starting to feel like a different world. That year (especially the summer) was so much fun. Pop Culture during this time period was UNBELIEVABLE. Eccentric and totally fun 🤩
Summer 2008 doesn’t get a lot of love as the years before. Definitely one of the best times of my life. What are your favorite (or not so) moments of the Summer of 2008?

Oh and myspace was still being used by everyone at the time and facebook as well.

Summer 2008 was FUN. Considering how great the previous school year was for gaming, you can imagine how much I had with video games during this summer. Mario Kart Wii, Super Smash Bros Brawl, Halo 3, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Team Fortress 2, Grand Theft Auto IV, Guitar Hero 3 and Rock Band, Club Penguin were all popping. This was the last summer I truly felt invested in kid culture. Last summer before Toonami, Toon Disney, and Jetix shut down. Cartoon Network wasn’t filled with live-action crap like the following summer. Great shows like Phineas and Ferb, iCarly, Total Drama Island, Ben 10 which I watched all the time that summer. It was the last summer MySpace was truly popping. YouTube was great back then, so many great videos, although unfortunately this is when FRED got big, and so when I returned to school, everyone was talking about him and I couldn’t stand it. But at least in Summer 2008 I could ignore it.

Lol wasn't the world balls deep in a massive recession back then? If you were a kid or teen back then like I was you really didn’t care about that. What I disliked about 2008-2009 school year at the time wasn’t the recession but rather Fred and how popular he was LMAO

Oh and myspace was still being used by everyone at the time and facebook as well. Let me tell you one thing. In 2008 & 2009 specifically you had lots of websites that allowed you to share to social media websites, and you’d always have links to Facebook and MySpace. By 2010, most websites got rid of the MySpace links.

I was too young to really be impacted. I hated Fred more than anything 2008-2009.
