These rap songs will too. Music changed since 2012, but it feels tiny compared to 2002-2012.

Can't say the same for 2012 to 2021/2022. Again, styles and beats changed, but not that much. Hip Hop Fashion also changed a lot between 2002 and 2012 going from baggy to skinny. It mostly has stayed the same between 2012 and now. Not to mention like half the rappers that were big or blowing up in 2012 like Kendrick, Drake, Future, etc. are still big today. Imagine 50 Cent, Nelly and Ja Rule still being huge in 2012?

2012 turning 10 is so shocking to me, because it was right smack in the middle of my teenage years. So I'm faced with what was once cool and trendy in my head considered now dated and passé, and that feeling sucks.
Also these songs are turning 10 next year:
2012 in a nutshell

No but, Eminem and Jay-Z were still massive by 2012. Nelly agreeably still had a pretty big hit in 2010, and a major cross-over collab in 2013. Plus it doesn't really mean much anyway. Michael Jackson was massive in the late 70s and late 80s. Madonna was big both in the mid-80s and the mid-90s. Kylie Minogue had major international succes both in the late 80s and early 2000s. Elvis had chart toppers in the late 50s and late 60s. Freaking Frank Sinatra had hits both in the mid-40s and mid-60s.
