I gotta say it was the early 2000s for me. It was a perfect mix of everything. Rap, rock, R&B, typical poppy stuff...
Musical eras of the 2010s seemed way too confined to one genre. early = electropop, mid = EDM, late = trap. Obviously there was more to these eras but it wasn't an explosion of different genres and genre-fusions like the 2000s were, the early 2000s in particular.
I already see the early 2020s bringing more diversity similar to the 2000s though, which gives me hope!
