How do you split up the early, mid and late parts of a year?

How do you split up the early, mid and late parts of a year? Nov 20, 2021 15:55:37 GMT 10

I usually do this:
Early: January-April
Mid: May-August
Late: September-December

Sometimes I do this:
Early: January-June
Mid: April-September
Late: July-December

Or I use the quarter system:
1st: January-March
2nd: April-June
3rd: July-September
4th: October-December

12 ÷ 3 = 4

Jan, Feb, March, April (early)

May, June, July, August (mid)

September, October, November, December (late)

I guess, numerically speaking, the first half of a year ends sometime around june-august

But it's not until September that I really think to myself: "fuck, this year is already almost ending???"

It's kind of a fact that early/mid/late is Jan-Apr, May-Aug and Sep-Dec. Equal parts.
