People don't use straws anymore. You literally don't see anyone drinking their drinks with straws. You still had this in the 2010s. I think its because the transition to paper straws from plastic was so alarming people just avoided using straws all together.

Another difference: people don't use wired earphones anymore
Since 2019 it's all about airpods and bluee tooth airbuds
And it's more noticeable than plastic straws
