Yeah, it still sounds futuristic as hell.
Back in the 10s I thought we'd have flying cars and shit in 2020 because of how it sounded so futuristic.

It does seem very futuristic compared to like 10 years prior thanks to the normalisation of the internet though.

Yes it sounds futuristic. Unfortunately COVID happened and took a massive dump on it, so most people will associate the year with bad memories unfortunately.
I still remember as a kid in the 2000s how the year 2015 sounded so futuristic and far away, mostly thanks to the Back to the Future II movie.

I remember on January 1, 2015 thinking how futuristic the number was compared to 2014 for whatever reason. 2022 also seems hella futuristic.

Yeah but too bad Covid ruined the excitement of that year.

So what's the consensus now? Have your opinions changed?
To me 2020 doesn't sound futuristic anymore, neither does 2021
This is weird to me because it still sounded futuristic until very recently.
2024+ still sounds super futuristic though.

No it doesn't. Why would it? That year has passed. It is two years old now.

No it doesn't. Why would it? That year has passed. It is two years old now. Well, 4 people still think it sounds futuristic... So clearly there must be a reason
