Here are a bunch of trap songs from the early part of the decade before the genre went to top of the charts in the second half of the decade. Imo, they sound so much better than today's trap.

Early trap is actually from about the mid/late 2000s, but I guess you could also call it "proto-trap". I see what you mean about Early 2010s Trap though, it was a cool era. I still like modern trap though, just because it expanded so much and has a good variety of subgenres and fusion genres now.

Some early 10s trap from 2010-2013. Some of this now sounds like how 00s hip hop sounded to me back in the early 2010s.

I actually quite enjoy listening to them even today, especially when I'm playing GTA Online, I always set my radio to Radio Los Santos to hear these bops
