I know. But I think he's just a sociopath looking to make money after he got canceled, and I think he admitted some people can't change who they are. In the midst of it he led the movement in the late 10s when he wasn't like that. Even donald trump was in favor of gay rights, even if that wasn't consistent on every issue. I think people like the proud boys, violent conservatives and neo-nazis are a minority groups. I don't see any mass violence targeted people with moderate or logical views or lesbians/ gay people either . I don't think most modern right wing people are all equally bigoted like that nowadays outside of a number of them and jesus freaks in the bible belt/midwest/fringe groups. Vast majority of people in modern western big cities don't have hangups or care if you are lesbian or gay or have mutiple wives or whatever, I don't think of someone defined by their orientation. I don't think most people still have this need to be completely wear their identity or always announce who they are, I think we are past that era imo. Cisgender gays and lesbians were easier to accept over transgender and non-binary groups. In fact there’s opposing feminists like terfs that have gone in uproar over them. I think we’re past that era for Cisgender gay men and lesbian women but not so much for trans people, as was the case for bathrooms in so long ago Coming out stories just don’t have the same controversy or e excitement as they did like a decade ago either. That much I’ve seen The media moving so quickly from the gay marriage debate to the trans debate around 2015 and 16 greatly contributed to stirring up the hornet's nest that created the Trump era. It validated conservatives' "slippery-slope" belief that gay marriage was simply a stepping stone to even worse "abominations." Today, for better or for worse, LGBTQ are all lumped together, so any setback for trans rights will also affect cisgender gays and lesbians.

It validated conservatives' "slippery-slope" belief that gay marriage was simply a stepping stone to even worse "abominations." Today, for better or for worse, LGBTQ are all lumped together, so any setback for trans rights will also affect cisgender gays and lesbians. For the most part, Cisgender gays and lesbians have made huge strides that the world would not just so easily go back to in terms of them going back to the closet if that’s what you mean ? Many middle class and upper class gays and lesbians who happen to be cis will for the most part be fine but transgender people will face many setbacks with all this recent exposure in the media as many transgender people remained in stealth and living secretly in they’re gender from day to day but now all this exposure has made it even easier to pick apart trans people from others to identify and separate them if they don’t pass. This will also ultimately hurt cisgender people who have either feminine or masculine qualities in they’re faces and don’t conform to gender binaries. Sex based rights that terfs idolize can only go so far without actually questioning the already problematic gender binary that is reinforced in our daily lives
