How would you rank the ones you've seen?
My Most to Least Favorite Ranking: 1) Lion King (1994) 2) Mulan (1998) 3) Pocahontas (1995) 4) The Little Mermaid (1989) 5) Beauty and the Beast (1991) 6) Aladdin (1992) 7) Tarzan (1999)
What did you like or not like about these movies? The creativity, animation, diverse story lines and characters are what makes these movies special to me. I was born at the tail end of this era, but I grew up on VHS collection of these movies, so they're a huge part of my childhood. I am not a huge fan of the musical portions lol.
When would you say was the earliest hints and last gasps of the Disney Renaissance era? I'd say the earliest hints was in 1986 with movies "Great Mouse Detective.” I think the final gasp was in 2003 with the movie "Finding Nemo."

American Trail isn't a disney film though, I think this applies to cartoon disney style animation in general. I'm not sure I would include anything released in late 1998-1999 in this era, its too Y2K imo.
I see it starting with the Great Mouse Detective and American trail in late 1986 and ending in mid 1998 with mulan and the Quest for Camelot. I would say you had shared elements of renaissance style in mid to late 70s to mid 80s
1982
1977:
Post Renaissance Late 1998 to 2004/5:
Marked by decline in quality but not entirely bad; slightly more mediocre stories, cleaner and tighter animations/more digital touches and less grand and sometimes less elaborate atmosphere like earlier renaissance films. Lots of direct to video sequels of classic renassiance titles were made between 1998-2005:
Lion King 2 (direct to video) (late 1998)
Tarzan (1999)
Titan AE (1999)
Fantasia 2000 (2000)
The Tigger Movie (2000)
2000s Part 2:
Emperors New Groove (late 2000)
Atlantis (2001)
Lilo and Stich (2002)
The Jungle Book 2: (2003)
Lion King 1/2 (direct to dvd) (2004)
Mulan 2 (2004/2005)
Kronks New Grove (direct to dvd) (2005)
Tarzan 2 (direct to dvd) (2005)
2000/2001 to 2004/2005 was mixed between traditional and digital even though more digital, I think it was the last gasp of the renaissance era, which was late 1998 to 2000 then 00/2001-2005. Most of 2005 to 2009 was mostly dominated by CGI animations but there were still a few traditional flat cartoon animations ex princess and the frog especially and similar direct to dvd renassiance sequels you find in the post renassaince era but some of them were quite watered down, also land before time sequels and unrelated cartoons tom and jerry etc this continued into 2010s to a lesser extent.
People were starting to use computers to some extent with traditional hand cel animation, although everything was cel based, in the late 80s (little mermaid and few earlier films) and the last use of cel in disney films are the from the late 2000s with princess and the frog (though lots or most films were fully digital then and earlier), but some people might have used some hand drawn effects here and there afterward, but just a few things.
