I’m curious if the early, mid and late 1990s, Y2K era, early, mid and late 2000s had cars distinct to those eras. I think I can easily tell a car from the 1980s and back. For the 1990s and 2000s, I can kind of tell, but it’s hazy. For the 2010s to present, I can’t tell. Honestly, cars from 2008 or 2009 to today look similar with technological tweaks.

The 90s were kind of a transition from the boxy cars of the 80s to the round bubbly cars of the 2000s with the googly headlamps. The 2000s had some adorable designs with how round shapes were trendy back then: A bit like how the characters in the Pixar movie "Cars" are cute and cartoony. The 2010s were similarly a transition from the rounded cars of the '00s to the angular, "angry" cars of nowadays with loads of aerodynamic edges:

How can you possibly not distinguish late 00s cars to 10s cars?
10s cars 'look angry' and have a more angular design, also have bigger grills than 00s cars
We're seeing the popularization of eletric cats right now, they look different from your stereotypical 2010s car
