Liberalism rose up in the late 2000s too with the 2008 election and Barack Obama's inauguration.

The most terrifying thing is in 2021, "conservative" means overthrowing US democracy and replacing it with a totalitarian fundamentalist Christian theocracy that imposes a hierarchal social order by fear.

Sorta, the 1960s were mostly liberal IMO, it was only the first few years that were conservative (with 1963 & 1964 as turning point years).
The 1970s are weird, started off liberal but, ended very conservative. Moderate overall.
The 1980s were pretty conservative and only became more moderate towards the very end.
I don't think the 1990s were really that liberal, they were compared to the 1980s though. I would actually consider the 1990s as moderate overall actually.
The 2000s were mostly conservative until the latter years, when it very quickly became liberal.
The 2010s were very liberal overall.
