Mid-60s - Late 60s
At its core, it's a very British Invasion song, but you could definitely hear the premises of psychedelic rock here that would explode in popularity just a year later.
Early 70s - Mid-70s
This is truly when Philly soul started to turn into disco. It has the lushness of early 70s Philly soul, but it has a beat very reminiscent of later disco.
Late 70s - Early 80s
The effervescence of disco meets the futuristic sounds and quirkiness of new wave that would later dominate the early MTV era.
Late 80s - Early 90s
This is a pretty cheesy mix of freestyle and new jack swing. It has the big loud drums and keyboard sounds of freestyle, but the general funkiness of NJS.
