Pop culture itself is just more stagnant since the 1990s IMO. In 2021, 1995 is the same distance from now as 1969 was back then. That's crazy and proves this to me a lot. Pop culture has changed dramatically since thenhas it changed as much as 1969 to 1995 tho?

Idk, 2013-2015 smartphones look outdated compared to todays smartphones. Not anymore, the chunky and thick design from then has already come back

Not anymore, the chunky and thick design from then has already come back They have a different design still Most smartphones back then had home buttons and no thumbprint scanners And smartphones nowadays are way thinner than 2013-2015 smartphones

I wanted to get older model which don't have those thickness/flat edges.

Hipster is literally just emulating fashion of previous decades You know what I am talking about when I say hipster, that mid 2010s peak sub culture with the mustaches, and the fedoras, and the coffee shops with the lights hanging down, cursive writing, foot stomp commercials, bicycles etc etc etc whatever you wanna call it, that sub culture I am talking about, it was everywhere from 2012 -2018, almost every person reading this agrees with me. Oh please the definition of what a hipster is changes a lot that even hipsters themselves didn’t know what one was. One minute it was associated with the indie rock look and then next with the EDM scene guy at Coachella

My mistake, but either way I just see the 2010s as a bridge between the 2000s and 2020s, with the middle of the decade being the peak of that sub-culture. Both Mumble Rappers and Hipsters on Facebook are 2010s culture, too opposing contrasts, Before that it was Emos on MySpace and now it’s E-Boys/Girls on Tik Tok

Especially with the 80s to 90s to 2000s...

Especially with the 80s to 90s to 2000s... I talked about this in a previous post, it’s why comparing decades next to each other is never really as fun because theres so many similarities and it makes it hard to see the zeitgeist of that decade. If that’s the case then the 80s is a transition from the 70s to 90s
