I think they are, cause people in the NBA, NFL, NHL, professional baseball, FIFA, and tennis players are all getting paid an annual multi-million dollar salary, while doctors at most get only 200,000 USD annually, and school teachers work a low five-figure salary in USD, and fast food workers work minimum wage. Engineers typically make a high five figure salary or around 100 something thousand annually. Pilots though get paid 100-300 something per hour after working in the airline for a few years. Hollywood stars typically make around 15000-20000 USD per episode. These people all work hard and learn something new, while sports players just do the same thing each time. Aside from maybe practicing the same things, they dont really work hard. Win or lose, they get paid. Some of that money could go for homeless shelters and help solve world hunger and poverty. Even Joseph Biden makes only 400,000 USD per year. Jeff Bezos, one of the richest men in the world, makes only 100 something a year annually on salary despite a billionaire from his net worth.

I'm more concerned with how they pay their taxes
Lot's of rich people find a way to not pay their taxes, that really pisses me off, it fucks up the poor people
If they can't pay their taxes then I think we should lower their wage and crush their career, seems fair enough

That's what drives people to be a star athlete

Yes. It isn't as important as professions such as Medical or Tech for instance. It doesn't make the world go around.
