-2000s nostalgia becomes mainstream... Early 2010s nostalgia emerges (about a decade too early lol)

-concerts and movies returning... DaBaby controversy at Rolling Loud and Astroworld tragedy (artists having a hard time getting back to it and messing up)

-Joe Biden and butthurt Trump supporters... Jan 6th.

- Covid vaccine rollout
- Restrictions easing, political tensions dying down a little and relative normalcy compared to 2020
- TikTok
- Olivia Rodrigo
- Throwback pop
- First year where 9th gen consoles are out

All in all, a pretty chill filler year where not much happened after Biden stepped foot in office.

Trap was moving away from that sound in late 2018 and 2019, 2020 and 2021 are both fully removed from it IMO.

Not much to say besides everything that’s already been mentioned. The second year of COVID, first year of Biden, another year of natural disasters, supply chain shortages, TikTok, anti-maskers turned into antivaxxers. Oh yeah… and there was an attempted coup on the United States in January. Did we already forget that?

It's amazing how the attempted coup has been forgotten, that shit should still be the most talked about thing in the country but instead you have people trying to downplay it
