I'm not a 100% certain on this but the 2020s might end up a flashy type of decade in terms of fashion. People see the 90s and 10s as minimal and relaxed while the 80s and 00s were seen as flashy and extra. Tbh, I see that happening already in today's fashion trends.

I hope so anything is better than the soulless, artificial, boring 2010s

Dirty like the 1930s.
The 2030s will be the flashy decade, providing we get through this hellish decade without destroying ourselves.

I think it's really possible, though I wouldn't count on it. Whenever I attempt to trend forecast, I always look to what way the pendulum is going to swing. There's been a whole lot of neutral, faux natural/industrial, inoffensive, etc. which I think will ironically will look bad at some point within this decade. This was intentionally designed to not date poorly, and I don't think it will as badly as many designs from the past have, so what I'm predicting is that it will start to look cheap. I have been seeing neon pastels, fluid designs as well as geometric features, more attractive natural components such as crystals and flowers, return of granny and overall maximalism with some curated clutter take off; still seeing what will stick. I think we'll be seeing some femininity in interiors again. Unfortunately, aside from clothing, I don't think there's a lot of resources being allocated to revamping aesthetics right now, not as there were in the 70's through 00's. Therefore it may take time for the past decade to date than those prior.

It will be a very chaotic decade and I highly doubt we will even make it to the 2030s.
