The Gameboy Advance SP was one of my favourite consoles when I was a kid. Whenever I think of it, it always reminds me of the Mid 2000s. Unfortunately, my Gameboy Advance SP was smashed by a baseball in 2008, so I no longer own the console. However, it used to look exactly like the console pictured below: Did anyone else own a Gameboy Advance SP?

That’s too bad that you don’t have it anymore! I still have all of my old handheld consoles. I never owned the Gameboy Advance SP. I had the original one in colour black instead and never upgraded that Gen.

I've never played the original Gameboy Advance before, however I do own a Gameboy Colour (I bought it off ebay in 2010, because I was suffering from Gameboy withdrawal symptoms due to my Gameboy Advance SP being destroyed. ). Apart from that, I still own all of my old handheld consoles as well.

Interesting! I own a limited-edition Nintendo DS Lite, but that's the only other Nintendo handheld console I own.

Yeah, the original Gameboy I have was bought secondhand at the time but the others were bought brand new. Which limited edition DS Lite do you have? I actually don’t own any of the limited editions that have been released for any Generation.

The outside case is blue, but the inside is completely black.

Did you guys ever own one of those Game boy advance Video cartridges? Like the ones that would come with one or two episodes of some show and came in potato quality video resolution?

I remember those! I never had it but my older cousin did and he had one with a Pokémon episode on it. Honestly it's probably good I missed out on those XD I have a grey game boy advance SP with a picture of paper Mario on it. I forget when I got this but I think I got it when I was 12 like when I got mypsee through purple game boy color at the same age. My first ever handheld game console I got was a black Nintendo DS lite back in 08. I got two game son the grist day starting off XD the last handheld I got was a Nintendo 3DS in 2014 or 2015 and I haven't played it in awhile.

It looked really awful anyways so probably for the best I never had it! Just watching that video Mibblez, and I can’t believe I used to manage to be able to play the games without any backlight on the consoles. The bad old days of needing light directed on it to be able to see what you’re doing! Nintendo were so behind the times in this area where it took them up until the Advance SP to adopt this feature.
