This is like a decade from hell. I complained a lot about the 2010s when I was in them because I wasn't happy with my personal situation at the time, but I'd give anything to have it back over this.

Economic Collapse
Climate crisis
Militant Christian nationalism
Possible U.S. civil war
Isolation, no social life

How? This is a dystopian hellscape. I can't think of a single thing that wasn't better in the 2010s than now.

Ever since like mid 2020 i've just tuned out all the crazy shit with COVID and politics. It hardly applies to me. 2010s was hell for me on a personal and cultural level. Completely devoid of soul.

Yes, this decade is generally a nightmare pretty much everything was better in the 2010s except Trump was still the president But at least every new song wasn't a throwback (people still had original ideas for music back then) obviously Covid wasn't around, Republicans weren't banning critical race theory and abortion, antivax wasn't mainstream, Q-Anon wasn't mainstream, NFTs weren't mainstream, metaverse wasn't real

Dude, it's too early to say that.
With vaccines, even though it sounds silly, it is one step closer to the end of the pandemic and return to normal life, even with the Omicron variant. The economy is actually recovering, new businesses are opening up, people are now living normally aside from masks and occasional social distancing, compare economic the statistics from April 2020 to December 2021, and you'll see how it's slowly recovering...
I still agree with the divided politics though, I hate how toxic it is.

With the exception of covid, I can say 2010s were worse lol Covid has completely destroyed every non-online aspect of life. At least in the 2010s I could leave my home, have friends, go to a movie, go to a bar, date, love, hope for the future. All of that has been taken away by Donald Trump.

Things suck nowadays but at least they suck less than in the 2010s. More changes are happening so it's not as boring. And music is better now as well. We were on the decline for a long time in the 2010s. I can see why it's easy to get nostalgic for it, but don't fall for that trap, remember the 2010s for what they were.
