Imma break the paradigm with a non-english speaking tv show called "Avenida Brasil"
It was an extremely popular soap opera here in Brazil (Brazilian soap operas are different from mexican and american soap operas) the entire country was watching the last episode. Literally, the streets were empty cause people were at their homes watching it.
No doubt the most popular soap opera of all time here in Brazil and i got to watch the final episode live 😎

I do remember seeing TMNT finale, the CBS action zone, it was such a non event at the time tho lol Out of all you mentioned above Full House hit me the hardest because I LEGIT did not know the show was ending until that bumper I posted above played about an hour before the episode aired, I was like "WTF FAREWELL ? FULL HOUSE IS ENDING WHAT??" I was so confused and shocked lol, I think this was the first "last episode" of a tv show I ever witnessed lol, and for some reason when I turned on abc it was playing part 2 when Michelle was in the hospital, so I missed the first 30 min of the 1 hour special. I was so fucking confused on wtf was going on lol This bow had me in tears until Fuller House brang it back.

should have never been on Disney channel either, Freeform or ABC would have been better half the reason it was cancelled was because disney couldn’t handle more mature topics which they wanted to do with the show. so yea it definitely should’ve been on Freeform or ABC

Yeah I miss the days when final episodes were something you really got excited for, although tbh a lot of the times I had no clue they would stop making the shows or stopped watching them before they ended like beavis and butthead, friends and reboot.. they would air full house so often that I lost track of the episodes and I couldn't tell when what was new lol. I remember the 3rd Power Rangers season ending in November 1995, marked the end of the classic rangers and then in early 1996 all we got was reruns and alien rangers which was depresssing lol.

Full House def was on every channel in syndication while new episodes were airing, it really was hard to tell what was new and what wasn't lol, I think what hit me equally as hard was when abc ended TGIF, understandably so as BMW ended and Sabrina moved to The WB, but was strange seeing lol, I think that 3rd season of PR still includes that Alien Rangers arc where they get turned into children.
