I know this post is almost a month late. But I went to a mall in late December 2021, a little over 2 years since I went back in November 2019.
Some observations I noticed: -A lot of stores were permanently closed.
-Mall was packed, hard to find parking.
-Weird stores like one that’s all about socks lol.
-A lot of people not wearing masks and not social distancing, just being gross, coughing and sneezing everywhere.
-Michael Kors employees being stuck up snobs.
-Macy’s men’s cologne department lacking common sense and customer service. If the cologne I want is not in stock, then don’t make me stand in a long ass line to waste my time. Geez! Store was messy, lively and busy all at the same time lol.
-JCPenney being dead, no music being played. I saw a random rack of Juicy Couture matching outfits haha.
- 2 big mall anchor department stores permanently closed. 1 of them was a 3-story Nordstrom which quietly closed in mid 2020. 1 of them is a 2-story Sears which closed in March 2021. Those wings were mostly dead.
-A shoe store in the process of closing.
-Food court semi-dead.
-Disney store replaced by Miniso.
-The mall still looks 2010s with every store giving off those vibes. Thank you 2015 with your bland and boring all white decor.
-Went to a cafe and bakery. The employee kept asking my mom and I our orders. The employees looked like deers caught in headlight. Our drinks tasted watered down shitty.
