Despite everything. I will think of the positives.. This era was a growth period in my life. The music is good too. I personally do enjoy this era as long as I try not to think of the horror in the world and think of the good things in my life.

Good for those who have a decent personal life right now despite the world going to hell.
The early 2020s for me have been the worst time of my personal life since junior high school, I hate the music (with the exception of hip-hop in 2020), and the national situation in the USA is right now is my literal worst nightmare and triggers a lot of terrible memories from growing up in church, specifically relating to the end times and God destroying America. That's why I hate the early 2020s so much.

That's why I hate the early 2020s so much. yeah most of the pop music outside of Hip Hop and R&B are 2010s holdovers, 80s throwbacks, and now a pop punk comeback, not really fresh. Then there's hyperpop, but it's mainly underground. Best thing about 2020s music so far is the rap IMO, so I'm confused asf when I see threads wishing it died. Like I said before, 2020 was probably the best year for rap since the mid 2000s.

I agree. I can see why people hate it but those reasons don't apply to me. COVID is overhyped as hell and where I live, lockdowns haven't happened since spring 2021.
