Anyone here use those sites ? All I have to say if you do..prepared to be shocked of who you are related to LOL, just got my kit back this morning in the mail and it had me like   🤔

I heard 23 and me is good based on friends. If you are comfortable sharing some info, would be cool to hear.

If you are comfortable sharing some info, would be cool to hear. Id say the only thing that sucks about it is u have to do a Saliva sample, but it takes a VERY long time to get results back. I have a ton a family in Italy apparently, and when I googled them being the detective I am, some of them looked like me!!! lol

If you are comfortable sharing some info, would be cool to hear. Ancestry is better for relative matching because more people test there, but 23&me is better for ethnicity estimates, i’ve done both

It’s also interesting to learn more about your ancestors when you build a family tree. I’ve found out I’m descended from a prominent colonial New England family as well as Revolutionary War soldiers and a woman who was accused in the Salem Witch Trials. My non-colonial recent immigrant sides of the family also have some interesting stories but I’ve found the most information on my colonial line. The genealogy sites are like a goldmine if you have colonial ancestry

Yes. I completed the DNA kit from Ancestry. But turned out I am related to a 17th century pirate, his name unknown. I wasn't shocked or anything. Why would I be?
So I'm related to a pirate...oh well.😌
