Lol they better do it right this time, not the cringe 2017 reboot. This looks even worse, its airing once a week for with a runtime of 10 min lol

So dumb. They need to stop rebooting things. This is complete and utter trash, the lack of audience makes it even worse

Can't MTV just mainly do TikTok interviews of currently popular stars like Doja Cat or Olivia Rodrigo? I know that the VMAs are still pretty culturally relevant, but what MTV is doing with this show is pointless.
And they're interviewing Rebecca Black...someone that is STILL widely known for her controversial song "Friday".

This is a disgrace to a popular 2000s classic show. This current incarnation seems out of touch and reminds me of the 2010s. Yuck. I hope this incarnation gets backlash. In the 2000s, it was keeping up with the times. Now not so much. I think the reboot is grasping at straws, looking at trends from 5+ years ago and saying this is it, kind of like the equivalent of shopping at JCPenney for the latest fashion trends. To compare this was TRL in March 2002 lol, one month from 20 years ago this new incarnation is more than an embarrassment, I just feel disgusted watching it

But wow the 2002 one looks more lively, fun, zany and with the times lol. Watching a little bit of the 2022 clip, I asked myself where's the pop punk. I also think that studio in HD looks like sh*t which loses some of the magic lol, in SD you could hide everything and looked like it had more depth, but when seeing it in 2022 in a HD setting it just looks terrible lmao, but yes back then things felt very Jerry Springer and Zany
