Usually cities will have boom and bust periods in terms of popularity and cultural clout. In the 2010s it's arguable that is was Los Angeles, at least domestically in the US. I swear everyone was moving there in 2014-2018 and the style was emulated everywhere. What do you think will be the coolest city of the 2020s? My money's on NYC having a serious comeback.

Economically, it would Austin Texas because tech companies are moving there. Plus, many other people from the US are migrating into Texas.
