When did you first start using social media and which is your favourite site?
If you consider YouTube to be social media, I started using social media on the 13th August 2010, when I created my first YouTube channel. Otherwise, I started using it in July 2011, when I created my Facebook account. My favourite social media site would have to be a tie between Facebook and YouTube.

My first social media account would have been Facebook which I joined in early 2011. Then I got both Snapchat and Instagram in Mid 2013. Technically I have been using Youtube since around 2007 when I watched my first YouTube video, however I didn't use it regularly until the early 2010s.

I thiiiink I might have had a MySpace in 2006. I signed up to post in my friends' shoutboxes (like the one we have here), but I never made my own page. I can't remember if it was necessary to sign up.
For the rest
YouTube - 2007 (but started using it in 2005)
Blogger – 2007 (haven't used it since 2011)
Twitter – December 2008
Facebook – January 2009
Tumblr – sometime in 2009 (and haven't used it since)
Snapchat - summer 2013 (and haven't used it since)
Instagram - summer 2015
My favourite is Twitter.

YouTube: VIsited in 2009, but made an account in 2012.
Instagram: Fall 2014
Facebook: 2015 (but I don't use it a lot)
Snapchat: Fall 2015
Twitter: Early 2015
My favorite social media is definitely Snapchat.

Nickshack (does anyone here remember that site?  ): 2010, although I first accessed it in 2008. YouTube: 13th August 2010 Facebook: July 2011 Twitter: 16th June 2015.

The site was mostly popular during the Mid-Late 2000s. It was basically like a "kids" social media site run by Nickelodeon. I'm not sure if you remember them or not, but you used to be able to submit "clickheads" through the site. They were shown on the Nickelodeon TV channel.

I have never watched Nickelodeon during my teenage years either.

2004 if we also count AOL and my favorites are Facebook and Instagram. Youtube used to one of my favorites, but not anymore due to the terrible changes.

To be honest, I generally don't use social media as often as I used to. I only really go on it to message a few of my friends on Facebook and to go on my YouTube channel's Twitter page, but that's about it.

I still don't have a facebook, twitter, or instagram. I personally don't really like social media. The closest thing to social media I use is message boards and forums(or youtube if that counts). Anyway, I started using youtube in late 2007.
