Movies that start off promising, but end up lackluster. Movies that begin slow, but end up awesome.
I’ve heard Joker from 2019 seemed to be boring in the start, but turned out to be a thrill at the end.

WALL-E is kinda boring at first until we get to the Axiom. And then it gets like, amazing.
Honesly that film gets progressively better with every passing decade as global warming gets more serious than ever.

Not a movie but Death Note was really good until L died and was replaced by Mello and Near
And then the show really jumps the shark during that airplane episode
After that it just kept more and more ridiculous and boring (without L and his conflict with Kira). I couldn't bring myself to watch the rest of the series at all.

Josie and the Pussycats (2001) is definitely one of those movies that got better the more you watched it. It’s one of those films where you can’t always judge a book by it’s cover.

SLC Punk is one of those movies you can watch 100 times and it still gets better, I watched in 1999 and never got old, it was really educational for those of us in the punk scene in the late 90s. It depicts the life of two punks in salt lake city in 1985 and is a pretty good reflection of what went people went through in the punk subculture in the 80s even if its a bit hollywood here and there.
Examples of the best parts:

"12 Angry Men" definitely had this effect on me. It starts off dreadfully boring with a jury of men rambling about a murder case, but gets more and more interesting and finishes off on a fantastic conclusion.
"Avatar" from my memory had the opposite effect on me, where it starts off memorable and spectacular and then fizzles out when the main conflict sets in and I completely forgot how it even ended.
