I don't really like Tim Gilbert, to be honest. He isn't a bad sports presenter as such, however I've never really been able to take to him. The same applies to Sylvia Jeffeys. I feel a bit sorry for her, because she receives a lot of criticism quite regularly on social media. However, I've never really been a fan of her on the Today show.

After watching Weekend Today, I must admit that i'm not really a fan of Peter Stefanovic either. I find him to be annoying.

Can't stand Del Irani on the ABC News Channel / ABC Breakfast. Instant headache for me, presenting is atrocious and mumbles too much.
Also how could i forget Susannah Latimore & Helen Dalley on SkyNews, So boring.

My dislike of Peter Stefanovic has only increased over the past few days. I don't know if anyone else has the same opinion, but does anyone else think Peter is trying to mimic his brother's presenting style?

Exactly!!! He Definitely is and why is always yelling and calling us Folks? He's probably just trying to appear "friendly" and personable. It's quite obvious that he is trying to put on a persona, especially with how he tries to make a joke out of any comment.

My dislike for Mark Ferguson has grown even more.. sick of seeing these ridiculous promos for a guy who has no personality whats so ever on camera! Personally since he became weeknight anchor in 2014 i feel like Seven has been trashed.. constant Content, Set, Presenter changing. Someone please wake up and realise Mark Ferguson is the reason no one tunes in to Seven News Sydney! - Anyway rant over.
Kathy Robinson on the ABC, Mumbles way too much. Natalia Cooper mainly because when i was on work experience i was nice and smiled and waved at her she just looked up and down at me before rolling her eyes and turning her head + I don't understand her presenting.. possibly the equivalent to the clown on Ten.. always laughing like a crazy chimpanzee! Thank god she's on Today now.

I personally don't think Mark Ferguson is a bad newsreader as such, but he really shouldn't be presenting the 6pm bulletin of Seven News Sydney, especially when you consider the fact that the Sydney market is a stronghold for Nine. It makes you wonder why the management at Seven aren't open to making significant changes to their news service. I agree in regards to Natalia Cooper. It's interesting that you should mention that, because I always thought that she was a very friendly and "down-to-earth" person. I'm surprised to hear that she was rude to you when you smiled and waved at her!

We've seen several changes to the set, graphics and theme music along with the presenters for sport, weather and weekend newsreader plus a plethora of Mark Ferguson-centric promos for Seven News Sydney in recent years. If I was to guess, the management of Seven News Sydney would probably stand by their (IMO, often dubious) content decisions and Mark Ferguson by citing things like how the ratings have been better with The Chase Australia as the lead-in program since 2015 compared to the 2011-15 era when a declining Deal Or No Deal and later a never overly popular Million Dollar Minute was the lead-in program to Seven News. That and how Nine News Sydney relies on the afternoon NRL lead-in to boost their ratings on Sunday nights which often provides flow-on effects throughout the week between March and Early October. But personally, I think the content quality of Seven News Sydney and/or Mark Ferguson might be major issues with their news service regardless of whatever lead-in program either network has. If Sydneysiders really liked Seven News with Mark Ferguson or the content of the bulletin so much, I think they'd be very regularly beating Nine in the ratings. It makes you wonder why the management at Seven aren't open to making significant changes to their news service. As I've said numerous times before, Mark Ferguson would probably make for a great presenter of a daytime bulletin or even on a rolling news channel. But I think Sydney viewers overwhelmingly want to see presenters in the mould of Brian Henderson, Roger Climpson, Ian Ross and yes, Peter Overton reading the 6pm news. In comparison to all those presenters who were ratings toppers at some point in their careers, Mark Ferguson is more like a modern day Ross Symonds (although Fergo has a somewhat more grating voice IMO).

Although, if we're being realistic, the management of Seven News Sydney have no real excuse for the lack of changes towards the content of the bulletin. Given the fact that Nine News Sydney has consistently out-rated the bulletin in recent years, it's inexcusable that nothing has been done to address what the issue may be. Honestly, I think it may take a rejuvenated Ten Eyewitness News to help spur any significant changes to Seven News. The latter has arguably become complacent in being a second-rate news service to Nine News. It's evident that changes need to occur, as the bulletin isn't performing to the standard it should be. Yet, I don't think any such changes will occur, until significant changes are made to a rival news service.

Another one for the list of journalists I dislike: Annette Sharp, current gossip columnist for The Sunday Telegraph and formerly the main columnist/editor for the entertainment/media industry hearsay rag "Sydney Confidential" in The Daily Telegraph.
Many of her articles are absolutely ridiculous. I get that she was a publicist for the Nine Network during the 1990s (according to a Google search), but I genuinely wonder if she was ever rejected for an on-air presenting position in TV or something...

I don't think I have ever read any of Annette Sharp's articles, so I can't really make a comment on her as a journalist. However, given the fact that she works as a current gossip columnist for The Sunday Telegraph, would I be right in assuming that Annette Sharp focuses on celebrity "scandals" and writing negative articles based on popular TV shows?

I'm sure if you did a search on The Daily Telegraph website, you'd find plenty of Annette Sharp articles. Although I personally wouldn't recommend reading any. However, given the fact that she works as a current gossip columnist for The Sunday Telegraph, would I be right in assuming that Annette Sharp focuses on celebrity "scandals" and writing negative articles based on popular TV shows? Yep, pretty much.
