It's not pop punk in the least, but this is the type of alt pop with big trappy bass and emo-ish Gen Z vocals that's extremely early 2020s. like a lot disney songs, this could be from any time in the last ten years Just because it's Disney doesn't mean it's timeless? This was composed by Lin-Manual Miranda who previously worked on the hip hop musical Hamilton, and that definitely influenced his work here. It has elements of late 2010s latin pop and even some whisper pop, so it definitely couldn't have been made before 2018. i really dislike this one. this could definitely be 2012 It's mush that wouldn't be exactly out of place in the late 2010s (although at least there's a bass guitar here unlike their purely drum machine-driven stuff from back then), but not from 2012. Imagine Dragons had a far brighter, simplistic indie pop sound back then.
