I would say it starts falling past it's peak around 2025 and after that remains stagnant until a new app comes out and replaces it which will probably happen in the late 20s or early 30s.

TikTok is the new YouTube, there is no replacement for it
UNLESS, the company that owns TikTok somehow manages to fuck it up, like what happened to Digg (it was replaced by Reddit because of a shitty update)
And even then it's just gonna be replaced by another app that does the same thing but has a different name.
It's not going the way of Facebook either (dominated by older people) because TikTok is INHERENTLY made for young people, there's no way the app could possibly be taken over by 30-40+ somethings because it's short video based, it's mostly an entertainment/art platform, just like YouTube, and unlike Facebook (which is a more traditional social media)

It's just a temporary social media platform like all others were in the past before it (Snap Chat, Instagram, etc.). Something else will come to replace it in the next few years just like how Tik Tok replaced Snap Chat. You're totally wrong. You can't compare it all to YouTube. I know so many people who never even saw a glimpse of the app including myself. Nothing at all like YouTube.

It's still one of the biggest platforms As for Snapchat, it died because Facebook successed at ripping off Snapchat's only interesting novelty feature (stuff that disappears overtime) and stole its userbase Facebook has tried ripping off TikTok (Instagram reels, and Facebook has something similar too) even google ripped tiktok off (YouTube shorts), and yet TikTok is still thriving, hell, it recently overtook GOOGLE as the most searched website If Google and Facebook can't bring TikTok down then it's here to stay

Facebook was dominated by young people as well back in the late 00s and early 10s. Yes, that's what i said Why wouldn't boomers take over tik tok when the new hot social media comes out? The same thing happened with facebook and youtube. Mind you, facebook was also made for young people(college students).

YouTube has definitely not been taken over by boomers, what is u talking about mate TikTok simply cannot be taken over by older people (don't call them boomers, the CRUSHING majority of older people on the internet are Gen Xers). TikTok is based around short video clips, older people don't like that kind of shit Facebook is mostly people posting about their personal life, eyeing other people's personal life, and posting political shit. Who the fuck is doing that on TikTok? Yes there's a lot of people talking about politics/life on TikTok, but 99.9% of the content on tiktok is vapid entertainment. When we zoomers get older, we will stop using tiktok; it will lose its novelty to us. Then Gen Alpha will take over the app. older generations will always stay on the sidelines.

When MySpace was in its prime in the 2000s, when Tumblr was in its prime in the 2010s, nobody thought they would die off, but they did. Of course, I would argue in both cases, this was due to changes made to the sites that made them downright unusable. And this is would I'd argue is what's really going to do TikTok in. That, or it shutting down through similar means to Vine. Even if it doesn't die off next year, it's not going to last forever. Hell, the only reason YouTube has lasted as long as it has, despite all the SHITTY updates made to the site over the last decade and a half is because it's really the only full-length video platform to have any kind of userbase and community, and the fact the platform itself has changed so significantly so as to make early YouTube effectively a completely different website from modern YouTube. Early YouTube is, in a weird way, more akin to Vine or TikTok than modern YouTube with it being dominated by short-form video content and viral videos, whereas modern YouTube is more based off original indie content + devoted user communities. Think about it, would you get something like Hazbin Hotel or Bravest Warriors or Battle for Dream Island or any of the people making video essays or tech reviews on Tik Tok OR old-school YouTube? I think not. On that note however, what you said in bold, I completely agree with LMAO
