A thread to share and discuss "guitar-rock" songs (in other words, non-indie songs) which have achieved Top-50 success in the 2010s. What are some "non-indie" rock songs which have charted within the Top-50 in the 2010s? I was just curious to note if there is some sort of musical trend among non-indie songs of this decade. Here are a few that I can think of:
I'm not sure how popular this song was in the United States, but the Arctic Monkeys had a minor worldwide hit in the form of "Do I Wanna Know" back in 2013. It peaked at #11 in the UK, #14 in Ireland, #37 in Australia and it also peaked within the Top-50 in several European countries. The Arctic Monkeys actually had another successful single the following year ("Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?") and it peaked at #8 in the UK and #56 in Australia.
This is the most recent example of a "guitar-rock" song to achieve Top-50 success. I still can't believe Harry Styles released a song in this manner. He has earned my respect, even though I was never a fan of One Direction. It's great that it was very successful worldwide as well. "Sign of the Times" actually topped the charts here.

Believe it or not, this Blink-182 song managed to peak at #50 here just a couple of years ago. It's not too bad, I guess, although I've never really been a fan of Blink-182.

I could support a full-on 70's hard rock revival right about now...

I could support a full-on 70's hard rock revival right about now... RockyMountainExtreme introduced me to that song. I agree, it would be great if "Highway Tune" sparked a renewed interest in '70s hard rock! I would love to see a revival of it, although I have my doubts that it will happen.

Ikr whenever I think it's coming it just kinda fizzles. There was a while circa 2010-12 that country music was getting a slightly heavy rock sound but now it just sounds clubby with a random banjo. I do think there is genuine interest but no real home for it, so therefore no investment.

This is one of my favourite songs of the 2010s. Until just a few days ago, I had no idea what the name of the song was. I knew that it was a QOTSA song, but despite listening to several of their more recent songs, I still hadn't been able to find it. I've liked it since it was released back in 2013, so i'm glad that I finally know what the song is.
