Should we as a society accept TransRacial People for who they are? Yes or no and please explain why or why not?
At this point, I don’t have a problem with it. If that’s how they feel, it is what it is.

People can technically do what they want when it comes to this subject and they should be protected for it in that regard but I think it’s can still be problematic when you want to claim to be part of a culture and ethnicity you aren’t especially if it can be seen as appropriating, trivializing other people’s ethnic identities and cultures, especially minority cultures, or if it’s based not liking your own or hating your own skin color or ethnicity.

tbh the main issue lies with people like rachel dolezal who was the leader of the NAACP for years while lying about who she really is

i don’t really care either way, i think it’s dumb tho This is pretty much how I feel. I won’t attack someone for being transracial but I still think whatever race you were born as, you are that race. Certainly doesn’t help all of the examples of transracials you see are of whites (who probably believe “all white people are racist” from how much SJWs drill it into their head) wanting to become black or Asian, but NEVER the other way. I really think it’s just a way for whites to claim they’re being oppressed.

No. I mean if someone wants to identify as such then fine but we shouldn't be forced to ID them as such.

Here's my take on this, if a person changes their own skin color, changes their eye color, and getting facial surgery to be the opposite race, so be it. Will I accept it? Doesn't really matter, as long as this person is happy with the decision that they made.

No. They can do whatever they want to their appearance but if they're gonna lie, everyone else should be free to expose it.

LOL I'm just glad this didn't exist in the early '00s when I was a kid who watched too much cable TV.

No, it'd be weird. Also once I saw this Hispanic dude who got plastic surgery to look Asian and he looked like an alien and it was so awful.
I guess I could accept it but still not the same as being transgender or gay which I can easily get by.

I think if someone has a deep self hatred of their own skin color and that is basis for the transition, they should be prevented from doing getting it, or there should be some kind of way to ensure it’s not done out of self hate or tied to a severe mental health issue. I can't see how normalizing to make it incredibly easy to do would be good for everyone who wants to consider. I think outside of that context there are exceptions, even though I don’t really agree with it.

I guess it’s because gender exists like a spectrum across all cultures and “trans racial” is just pretending to be a person from another ethnic group based on stereotypes when you don’t even have any lineage with said ethnic group. That’s the difference between transgender and trans racial, gender isn’t really something that’s given down and passed on to you like culture for example, whereas gender and sexuality is something more personal. Also are you talking about that Brazilian plastic surgery addict who was in a YouTube video not so long ago ?

Not to go down the slippery slope argument but this seems like a lousy attempt at being able to reclaim slurs other race groups can say

But for real, as far as genetics go there is no white gene, no black gene, so on and so forth. Ethnicity is fluid with all sorts of variation, it's not something that can be narrowed into a few cohorts (although it's understandable why the classifications have existed as social constructs throughout history.) My opinion, while heritage/lineage can be intriguing, I think ethnic background should be a non factor in modern society and something like this I think is completely ridiculous.
